We will be leaving for Florida in early December and returning to Pa. early April.  We will be staying at Blueberry Hill RV Resort in Bushnell.  Lucy would LOVE to  go to a romp and meet some Floridian doodles.  If you know of any romps in our area of Florida during those months PLEASE let us know.  THANKS from Lucy and her mamma </;-)

I did find it. Sometimes an IPAD just won't do. Checked on m computer and also requested to become a member.
Glad you found it Sue.

Yeaaaa, thanks Sandy, I am defanately going to check this out.  That would be wonderful.  Where are you located?

Your welcome Karen. We live in Ft. Myers. Now that I am semi retired and have the time would love to go to a romp.
You can also try Meetup.com and search areas. We stayed at a great RV resort just off Juno beach one summer And a certain section of the beach was a dog beach. They had romps there, but don't remember exactly how I found the info or when. Sorry. I just think it was meetup.com though.

Thanks Sue, I will try it.  i would love to find a beach that I could take Lucy.  there are not too many that allow dogs.

There is a dog beach in Tampa called picnic island dog park.  We took Annie there for her first time swimming and she had a BLAST!  It's all fenced in except for the water.  I guess because it's such a narrow strip of coastline, it wouldnt make sense as a people beach so it's a dog beach!)  All of the dogs were friendly there - it was a Saturday and not crowded at all!  We had no problems (unlike the other dog parks we've been to... )

I don't know how close Tampa is to where you'll be - but it was fun!

Thanks Jen, we are about 45 mins north of Tampa so that is not far to go and spend the day and Lucy would love it.  I will def. look it up.

Here is where we stayed. A nice quick walk to the beach. The dog beach section was a little north of the pier.

I know you would enjoy it. Murphy sure did. He loved the ocean when we were in Fla. and went in several times a day. Learned to body surf that summer. Was a real surfer dood (le). Lol

Hahahaha, I will look it up.  Lucy does not know how to swim.  She is 6 and swims like a kid drowning.  It is soooo funny to watch.  AND she doesn't like the water.  She will get in up to her belly and that is it.  I want her to learn b/c I think once she did she would love it.   Thanks Sue

Juno Beach is very popular on the East Coast right above West Palm. I hope to bring Lily Grace there this winter while visiting my DD. Fort Desoto is one area that dogs are allowed off leash in Tampa. There are several others. Then you hit a dry area as Bradenton and Sarasota have no official dog beaches. The are allowed on the causeways out to the beaches only. Then when you get down to Jupiter there is a large dog beach. Others can tell you of any further south.

@ Karen. My camping friends are on vacation now way north letting their son know what cold actually is. LOL. They said to check out this site for areas for the RV. Tell your friends to check out Sun-n-Fun in Sarasota. http://www.sunnfunfl.com/

All of my friends who have taken their dogs up to Juno have loved it--Sadie and I just haven't made it yet; it's about 40-45 minutes from our house. We'd love to meet you and Lily Grace, though, so please do let us know when you plan to be there!
