This may seem like a silly question.  I have made a decision to do more of the grooming upkeep between professional appointments. I now have my table and the brushing is much eaiser on me and Chester.

But what do you wear when you brush/trim your doodle. I was wearing fleece the other day and I was covered in doodle hairs.

Do you wear aprons ?

Just curious.

Yes! If I wear yoga pants I'm stuck full of doodliness! If I wear jeans it's not nearly as bad. I never thought of an apron. Hmmm. I like that idea. I'm looking forward hearing other's responses.

I use one of those zip up jackets/shirts/coats with pockets that hair dressers use.  I got it through one of the grooming sites and I NEVER wear fleece!!  I also wash my grooming clothing separately because it gets caught in all the regular laundry!  Oh, mine is blue with paw prints all over it!!!  lol

I find that fabrics with a "hard" surface are best. Denim is your best friend. Jeans, and smooth permapress type fabrics with no nap to them. (No T-shirts, no knits, no fleece.) Nurses scrubs are great clothes for grooming.

last year for xmas I asked for a pair of grooming pants and a grooming jacket because I was sick of getting hair all over me after a grooming session.  I normally forget to put it on when I'm just brushing but I always wear it when I doing a full groom.  They look kind of like this:

I think my jacket may have come from a beauty supply store but i'm not sure if they sell pants there or if you need to order them from a grooming supply place.

I usually forget to change and get all this hair stuck on/in my clothes. But I have some smooth, possibly nylon, fast drying panrts I wear around the garden and the hair doesn't stick to them at all. any smooth, not knit, material works well.

Thanks for all the suggestions..I never thought there was 'official grooming cloths'. I will need to remember to pay more attention to what I am wearing.

I use a gardening apron that has lots of pockets to hold brushes and scissors etc.  The hair comes off really easily afterwards.
