Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Welcome to puppy madness! I think it would be a great idea to all post a little about yourself and your doodle. Photos are ALWAYS welcome.

Thinks you might want to share:

1) Your Name/Doodle Name

2) Location

3) Doodle type (goldendoodle/labradoodle; mini/standard; F1/F2)

4) Doodle age/weight

5) Photo

6) Anything else

Would also be great to come back here as your doodle ages to respond to your comment and post updates for age/weight/photos etc.

Hi, my name is Kris and I live with my husband in southern Oregon. I am 62 and semi retired. I am going to take 6 weeks off when the puppy comes to train and bond.
So excited, our puppy was born two days ago. Now the long wait begins lol. If we get a male his name will be Auggie Doggie, not sure yet on female name. I have been reading and preparing like crazy to make everything as smooth as possible.
We are sending him/her for two weeks to a socialazation trainer to start on early training and socialization so we won't be getting the puppy until he/she is 10 weeks. It seems like a long wait. I guess I should enjoy the calm before the storm.

I love the name you picked out.  But that's because my first Collie I named Augie Daugie.   LOL   He was the BEST!  Super smart and got his CD at the AKC Obedience Trials.  I hope you enjoy your Auggie as much as I did mine.  All the best to you.

Hi Kris, yes read what you can and get some rest. My Lily Grace is home a week and a half and it seems like months. I left her for socialization and training until she was 10 weeks old also, she has not soiled her crate, has not had any poop problems, knew sit and stay so I now can have her sit and wait until I release her when I put her food down. That was the best money I ever spent. Good luck, the time will go very slow and then all of a sudden it will be time to pick the pup up and you will wonder where all the time went.

5) When we told our daughter that we could get a second dog I decided that the dog had to be non-shedding.  I am so happy that we got a labradoodle.  She is such a joy and we all love watching the two dogs play.

BB looks so precious resting on his pillow.

Hurley flies into the bedroom landing on the bed and hiding within the pillows.  At 50 lbs it is hard to believe he can bury himself so completely we cannot see him.  He never chews on them and it is obvious he thinks he is so cute.  He gives us that 'look at me and how cute I am here'.  He knows he gets all those 'cutsey' words from me when he snuggles in the pillows.

I bet Quincy looks exceptionally cute running around with that pillow in his mouth.  Your description had me chuckling.
