Colby,Milo or Thai...that is the talk in our house. No one agrees. Me I like Thai. We just moved back from Southeast Asia. Thailand is so beautiful! Any other great ideas for our Christmas puppy!

Oh boy, is he cute or what! He will be a curly one!!

I think a lot of people get a pup and call him different names for up to a month until the one that is just right hits them. Thai is a nice name and unusual! Or you could call him something that is an actual person's name in Thai, but I don't know any!

Lots of people like names that end in O because it gets the dog's attention---we have a doodle named Rio and my DH loves to draw out the "O" when he calls him "REE-OOOOOOOO". Much more fun than calling Mattie or Lyric (are other two doodles) into the house--HA!

Definitely Thai!!!!!!! Congrats on the new puppy.

Can't really see his color, but we had the same problem when we got our first labradoodle.  He was the color of honduras mahagony so we named him Hondo.  When he went over the bridge (at an early age), we got a replacement ALD and named him Harpo because we already had Groucho and we thought Harpo and Groucho were good names to use together.  We joke that our next dog will be Zeppo or Chico.  So, it always is fun naming a dog.  Personally, I like Milo.

No great ideas but I like Mocha.

Donna, that is great!  Bosco would be a very cute name!

What about Paddy, as in rice paddy?  Since rice is a major crop in Thailand, this would be a nice connection to your time in Southeast Asia.  I always heard that it was ideal to choose a name that has two syllables, with the second syllable being a long vowel sound.  That's why I would stay away from Thai, although it is cute.  I also thought that you should avoid long O sounds, since those names sound too much like the word, "no."  Paddy sounds happy to me, and very friendly, too.  He sure is adorable!

A friend of mine once had a chocolate lab named Sanka.  Carabu make good coffee :-)

Well, have you picked a name yet for this darling little curly-haired boy?  Thanks for posting the photo.  He is just darling.

I like the Bosco suggestion also.  It would be fun calling for him.  He kind of looks sweet like a bosco.

I think he looks like a Milo or I like the Bosco as well!!!  We named ours Sebastian when we picked him out of the litter at 5 weeks old..... but when we brought him home he was no Sebastian ~ he was a Stewie!  We now tell people that you need to bring them home and see what their temperament is like and what they come to when you call them then name them...don't be in a rush!  :)  What a cute little chocolate drop!  ;)

How about naming him Siam, which is easier to call out than Thai, or picking a Thai boy name, such as Kusa ("heart"), Pricha ("clever"), or Rama ("king")?

I could be biased, but I support Thai too!
Another idea is Namtan which in Thai means brown and sugar.
