Obstacle course racing and mud runs. This was near the end of an 8 mile obstacle course/mud run outside of Chicago in October. I think it only got up to about 45 that day, and it was a really wet, muddy course. For every obstacle I couldn't complete, I had to do 30 burpees, and I ended up doing 150 burpees total. I had done a couple of theses races before, but they were a little over 3 miles, and didn't involve burpees. So this 8-miler was a huge challenge for me.

Halas's birthday dinner was another 2012 favorite of mine, I'm so glad you posted that, I had forgotten about it! And what would a recap of the year be without a photo of you doing something insane jumping over a fire pit? LOL
