New Vet in our New Town

As some of you know, we just moved from North Dakota to Kansas. I had to find a vet to get Schulz in for his yearly check up. I did what so many of you suggested and looked around, kinda shopped around for the perfect vet. we live in a small town but close to a big city. So i was searching all over the big city...found some good ones, found some horrible ones. Decided to check out this small towns vet and man oh man it was perfect. Went there with Schulz today, the people were friendly, focused a lot on Schulz, he loved it there. While we were waiting to be seen 2 goldendoodles just a little smaller then Schulz walked in, and of all the dogs, they were attracted to each other right away. When we wait I make Schulz sit at my feet and not go up to other people or dogs. Well the guy sat right next to me and i allowed Schulz to meet these other two doods after i knew it was ok. The man raved about how awesome the vet was, and how he has taken his doods to him the whole time. So we found a great vet and met some awesome people....with DOODS. We are all going to go to the dog park as soon as the weather lightens up a bit.  Just exciting. I have had enough horrible experiences with vets...not anymore. This doodle dad is happy! It was great too because everyone, and I mean EVERYONE there (it was busy today) was ranting on how beautiful and well behaved my Schulz was. Once again...doodles rock it!!!!

Scot, I had no idea you moved.  Best wishes on your new  home.   I'm glad you found an  awesome vet and more excited to see, because of your dood, you made friends.  Must be hard to be in a place where  you don't know anyone.

This is amazing news! One of my new years goal is to get a better vet for my pets. I bet it feels awesome and you must be relieved.

I just have one question though, did you have to pay a consult fee to meet each of the vets you checked out? Because I tried shopping around to a couple but they wanted me to pay a consult fee, which is around $70 per visit. That adds up!

It is always good to hear when people find wonderful Vets, I know it took me 3 tries...Daisy's annual is coming up and it will be the 2nd time there. I hope he is a great as I thought.
