Can anyone recommend (or point me to a discussion, I can't figure out the search thing!) a good set of  those paw covers for snow and cold weather?  Thanks!!

Tons of discussions here at DK over the years.  Try Googling Muttluks, Ruff Wear Dog Boots or just Dog Boots and a bunch of stuff will show up on Google!

We use fleece lined Muttluks and they work great.

I just ordered some of this product for my dog.  Does it help prevent the snow from getting packed in the pads of the feet?  I am hoping the product will help prevent this.  I've thought about boots, because she gets snow packing on her fur way up to her haunches .... usually when the snow is packy.  But, I wonder if it would be a waste of time because she is older, 3 1/2 and probably would take a lot of training to have her keep them on.

I just bought some of this for Charlie last week.  It seemed to work very well for him during the brutal cold.  I don't know if it was the Musher's or just the fact that it was so extremely cold but the snow did not seem to "ball up" on his feet.  It also helped when he walked on the street with the salt.  Usually he would pick up his feet in pain when he crossed the street but did not do that with the Musher's on his paws.

Many thanks for the replies and search tips for past discussions! I appreciate it!
