Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello All!

This is our Lucy!  Isn't she adorable?!  She is such a sweet girl!  She is an F3 goldendoodle and we got her from a breeder for our family.  She has been a wonderful addition.  I am dying to know what she is going to look like when she is fully grown, although I am really enjoying the puppy look, of course.  I love all the coat types and looks but just can't tell where her coat is headed.  I think she has thicker doodle build like her parents and will probably be about 55 lbs, according to the breeder.  Also, I would love to know what kind of puppy food is the best without breaking the bank and any tips for housebreaking and chewing are welcome.  I know the last two things are just things you gotta work through but want to make sure we are handling them the best ways possible.  Thanks!

Can you add a photo of her?  If you have some, just click "Options" at the top of your discussion, then click "Edit Discussion" and then go back to where you wrote your text and add in a photo.  Do it by clicking the photo icon.  It is right after the "Link" icon directly above the box you type in.  Some photos would help us better guess.

I added a pic but not sure I did a very good job.  Please let me know what you think.  Thanks for the help!

What a cutie! Looks to me like she will have a thick fluffy coat with a bit of a wave--but they DO change so much! I just groomed a doodle who is just a year old and had straight coarse hair--underneath the puppy coat though, he is beginning to get little curls--not super curly, but soft curls--the owners were amazed. So, it is a surprise package!

Join the Puppy Madness group and search the forum for discussions about housebreaking and chewing--there is no doubt that those have been discussed before! And try to get you little pup into a training class ASAP so you can learn about the best ways to raise her to be a good dog!

Thanks for the info!  We want to do everything possible to raise a great family member!

I think Lucy is adorable. I also think she will likely have a lovely wavy fleece coat.

You can find wonderful dog food recommendations in The Food Group! It is a fantastic group with so much help available to those of us wanting to feed our dogs nutritious food. One thing to keep in mind is that some of the expensive dog food is nutritionally dense and you feed less than the cheaper dog food. That makes them comparable in cost.

Such a cute new puppy--lucky you!

Love her color -- and those eyes!

Beautiful! Congrats on the new addition!
