Quick Help - Grooming Instructions

[Jane, Rooney & Stuart]

So Rooney & Stuart lost their FL groomer whom they loved and came to us in her van.  So today I tried a groomer that a friend uses at Petco.  She really seems nice and is upset that things didn't go well - both the boys are now bald, o.k. very very very short.  Not sure if I should laugh or cry but hey - it will grow out right? 

I'd like to keep working with her to help her "get it".  I have to go back and get Rooney - and I'd thought once that I saw something on her that showed the correct "look" but I can't find it.  Anyone have anything like that?  I did the search but didn't find it.  I'd love to have something to show her.

Oh, no, Jane!  And I was going to ask you about your mobile groomer, since we're down in Naples for a few months.  Oh, well.  I'll start investigating doodle groomers around here, and let you know if I find anyone worth trying.  In the meantime, why don't you just bring photos of Rooney and Stuart with haircuts that you like, and ask the Petco lady to work towards that look in the future?

UPDATE - just confirmed with the old groomer that she was using a #2 snap on comb which is just what I told the new groomer :(       This is also what the groomer was told when we were in Michigan and they looked great up there.  I'm not sure what this gal did wrong but the old groomer is giving the new groomer a call to try to help.

wow.  that is a great groomer that she is willing to speak to your new groomer to try and help you out.

There is no way Rooney and Stuart could be anything but adorable. I hope she can get it right. I don't know what I will do if my groomer even stops doing Fudge and Vern. Good luck!! Post some pictures.

The plot thickens (hopefully why the hair grows ha ha) - the groomers spoke and each one confirms that they use a #2 snap on comb - well how can that be when my dogs are now sporting NO hair.  The boys old groomer who has retired, is actually going to go see the new groomer and compare equipment!  She love Rooney and Stuart and is sad that this isn't working out.  A good groomer is worth their weight in gold!
