Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Since I bought home my puppy on Thursday night, she never once pee or poop outside. She would pee and poop everywhere inside my place. She only hit the jackpot twice on the wee wee pad. I wish she would do it outside or on the wee wee pad more often. Also, if I put her inside the tent. she won't stop crying or whining. Last night I had to put an extra bed inside my bedroom, because my neighbors can hear her crying and whining all night long. She just doesn't like being alone, she want to be next to somebody all the time. I need help!!

Hi Anthony,
Hang in there:) Take a deep breath...you will get through this!
For night time we like to start with a crate beside our bed, so the puppy knows we are there. I put my hand down in the crate when the puppy starts whining. I would replace your tent with a crate that the puppy can see out of. This is important.
Once she gets accustomed to a regular crate she should automatically go "potty" when you take her out of it, and place her outside. You can use a key work like go "potty". When she does you say "good potty", and give her a treat. If you catch her going inside quickly bring her outside. She should always been in sight when she is awake inside or in her crate.
For extra help a trainer that I really like does phone consultations: http://whendogstalk.com/lessons/phone-consultation/

The only thing that would make her be quiet at night is to be next to me. I basically sleep on the floor on a Japanese tatami mat because of my lower back problem. I tried everything to make my puppy like the crate, but I think the flight from Washington State to NYC probably scared her a lot. Also, she probably does miss her mom and brothers.
If I see my puppy sniffing around I always carrying her in my arms and take her outside, but so far she never pee or poop outside which is not good. I just came back from outside for 40 mins and nothing. I would had stay out longer but she got scared from seeing my neighbor dog and started running back to the apartment.
Thank you to everyone for their advice on training my puppy. =D
Try the wire crate like everyone mentioned - put her in it, next to you at night. She needs to be able to SEE out and see you! Maybe try a sound machine with white noise nearby. That really helped when Peri was a puppy. Things will get better - hang in there.
I'm using Tropiclean products to clean up after my puppy.
I am not familiar with this line, so I don't know how effective it is, but I see that their focus is "all natural", etc.
Nature's Miracle is completely safe, non-toxic, not tested on animals, and was originally designed to be used in pre-schools. So if your concern is not using harmful or harsh chemicals, this fits the bill. And it is tried and true for many, many years.
