Morning!

We have been on a hunt for good toys that would keep our 12wk pup busy. She gets bored quickly with her toys (stuffed kongs, deer antlers, balls etc) and switches to leather shoes and jeans in no time! :)

Also, she prefers to play with us rather than toys, so we really could use some help teaching her to play on her own sometimes.

Thank you in advance!

Have you seen the Hide-A-Bird or Hide- Squirrel toys? Tara loves these even at 4 years old especially if I hide a tiny piece of a treat inside (she's very food motivated). Now that she is older I cram it full so it is tight and more of a challenge for her (you can buy extra birds or squirrels).

Of course it requires restuffing so you're not off the hook at playtime! LOL  Keep in mind that dogs are social animals and interacting with a human or another dog or even cat is just they way they play. Tara can keep herself busy chewing on a bullystick but I wouldn't call it play. Playtime for her is retrieving the ball or playing hide and seek or other games with us.

Thank you! We will most definitely try!

I wonder if it would be durable for an avid chewer like Dasha?... Hmmm....

They might survive baby teeth for a while but they will succumb to adult teeth! Tara has pulled the brains out of her squirrels and I have replaced them several times. If I don't want her destuffing the animals then I just allow her to play with it while supervised.  Stuffies are just too tempting for most dogs!

Same here....our guys can rip those bodies apart in record time....but they sure do have fun!

Charlie rarely "plays" on his own- sometimes he'll roll around on the floor for a few minutes with one of his toys, but most of his independent time is spent sleeping or chewing on something. The best thing I've found is a Bob-A-Lot or the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball. He eats most meals from them.

This sounds like something Dasha would like. The little trouble maker likes to chase and "hunt" :-)

Thank you!
