Beachside Doodles in Florida

Does anyone have any experience with Beachside Doodles in Florida?  Please answer on my page.  Thanks.

Hi Patti,

I purchased my black labradoodle, Stella, from Beachside Doodles around the middle of December 2012.  I've never bought a puppy from a breeder before, and at times it seemed a little sketchy.  But, in the end, everything turned out great.  I love Stella and haven't had any problems with her thus far.  She is very smart and with the help of the obedience training she is doing now, i think she will be a great dog. :) I don't really know what else to say about them, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

The only thing I know about them is I've seem them advertised on Craigslist

Welcome to DK.

 

This is an old discussion, and i believe that Patti has already gotten a puppy and is no longer looking for feedback on this breeder.

Reputable breeders do not advertise puppies on CL, or on other ad sites like Next Day Pets and Puppy Finder. They also do genetic health testing on their breeding dogs. The price of these puppies plus the fact that there is no mention of health testing on the breeding dogs is not a sign of reputable breeding practices.

Please know that criticism of this breeder is not in any way to be taken as criticism or "put-down" of you or of your wonderful Stella. Many people here unknwoingly purchased dogs from what they later learned were puppy mills and what are known as BYBs or "backyard breeders"; my own LD originally came for a puppy mill via a pet store. We all love our dogs and they are all wonderful. But education about these things is part of what makes DK the amazing community that it is.

Thank you for that info!  I was just stressing out when i read that article and my boyfriend said, why are you worried?, you already have her lol  He is right, but it will be good to know for the future in case I ever purchase from a breeder again.  I love Stella no matter what! :)
