I am jealous!!!
Wish I could bring Peri but I wouldn't get a lot done. She's almost 4 and a little bonkers still :)
On the bright side Lisa, you now get to be a stay at home doodle mom!
I teach at a university and occasionally bring Sadie with me in the off hours. She loves new places and new people, although she gets a little overwhelmed at certain moments, and she'd really rather be exploring the English department than hanging out in my office. But I think it's good for her to have the exposure to different environments--I'm hoping that when she's older I'll be able to bring her more regularly. I think it's a great idea to bring your puppy with you if you can!
I so wish I could bring Quincy. I really think he would settle down but I don't see my law partners agreeing to this plan! I work at home on occasion so that has to do. We have a dog sitter come in mid day to take him out and play and that is working out well.
Is it expensive to get dog sitters?
Pippi, who turns 9 months old tomorrow, comes to work with me every day. I am co-owner of a toy store in a small downtown, and Pippi has quite a fan club. She does spend the day in my office, mostly under my desk, but I take her out for long walks. I would not call her mellow. She's pretty excitable and likes to jump when she greets people. She loves everyone she meets, but she is calm and quiet in the office even when she has to be alone for several hours. When I take her through the sales floor to go outside, she is wonderful and gentle with all the children. I keep her on a short leash! She does not bark, even though there's lots of activity right outside her door. I love having her with me at work. I guess doodles vary in temperament a lot, so you'll have to see how your particular pup responds to your particular work situation.
Thank you! Yes, she is an F1. I need to add a more recent picture of her. We think she's totally adorable. She's been coming to work with me since she was about 4 1/2 months old. I started bringing her as soon as she had all her immunizations. I have an adjustable exercise pen that I use to partition off my part of the office and to block anything that might be dangerous. The only thing Pippi has ever chewed at work is cardboard. She loves that stuff. She'll grab a stray post it note, too, sometimes.
That's a good idea!! Thanks, Susan! :)
I'm so jealous! Your doodle is a lucky doodle! I wish I could take mine to work (although I might not get as much work done)...
