Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Welcome to puppy madness! I think it would be a great idea to all post a little about yourself and your doodle. Photos are ALWAYS welcome.
Thinks you might want to share:
1) Your Name/Doodle Name
2) Location
3) Doodle type (goldendoodle/labradoodle; mini/standard; F1/F2)
4) Doodle age/weight
5) Photo
6) Anything else
Would also be great to come back here as your doodle ages to respond to your comment and post updates for age/weight/photos etc.

cuuuute!!! He looks like a ilttle older version of mine!
Hi!! Sorry I dont have any "tips" But i am in the same boat. My cat (who has been spoiled for the last 3 years) HATES Archie. He tried playing with her, and all she does is hiss at him and try swatting at him. I think all of our lives will be easier after the cat gives him a good swat (as long as she doesnt hurt him too bad) so he stops following her around.... He jsut wants to play with her. But she has NO interest. She does still come out when he is around, but she goes up where he cant reach her. I really hope they eventually get along. Its been less than one week.
Congratulations on your upcoming doodle! :) It's exciting. I'm partial to black ones because I just got one a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to let you know I love your pups name 'Whidbey' :) I grew up in Oak Harbor but have been out of WA for 15+ yrs. now. Anyway....
I have no tips on the cats. Holmes is the only pet we have right now.
Welcome! And can't wait to see Whidbey.
Hi BettyAnn!
What a small world!! I grew up near Deception Pass- but on the Fidalgo Island side. I chose the name "Whidbey" for obvious reasons. I hope to retire back up in the San Juans somewhere.
We ended up going with a copper colored doodle. Her name is still "Whidbey." I was partial to the black ones too, but my husband really wanted a lighter color. So after a lot of conversation and compromise, we now have "Whidbey 2.0" as we call her. LOL
Cats are adjusting!! Our Beau has charged at her a couple times, but he has not been hurtful in any way. I think it's more about establishing his dominance- and that is to be understood!
Whidbey now sleeps in our room in her crate and really is being good that way. She does a little initial crying, but my husband spends time talking to her until she settles down. It's all good.
Thank you so much for the greeting! I have a few videos that I hope to post soon!!
Suzanne
she is so very cute. Congratulations.
Hi! I'm Julie/our doodle is Cora
We're in Silver Spring, Maryland (north of DC)
Cora is a chocolate labradoodle (Mother labradoodle, Father chocolate lab) so she is 3/4 lab and 1/4 poodle and by the look of the parents' size and looking at her paws, she's going to be huge when fully grown. She'll probably be lower maintenance as far as grooming goes and may shed a bit.
She was born on Thanksgiving so she's now about 12 weeks old (we brought her home when she was 10 weeks) and she weighs about 15 pounds
Our son is no longer "the baby" of the household now and there is some jealousy but everyone gets along for the most part.
Hi All!!! We picked up our new doodle last Saturday. I cant believe its not even been one week, I am already sooo in love =) The first few nights were super rough with his crate. He barked the ENTIRE night. But 2 nights ago, he acutally slept (last night too!) Wakes up every 3 hours, on the dot to go outside! He is already getting used to going to the back door when he needs to go potty (such a smarty doodle)
1) His name is Archie
2) Chicago Suburbs
3) F1 Standard Goldendoodle
4) 9 weeks and one day (was born 12/12/12!!) weighs a little over 13 lbs- big boy!
Renee and this is Charly

Australian Labradoodle-Small

I//We (my husband) have been without a 4 legged member of our family for almost a year before we welcomed our cute little girl in to our home. We had been so heart broken after having to say goodbye to our German Shepard and our Black Lab in the past and with making a move we thought it best to wait before adding a new member to our family. The day she came home was probably one of the best days of our lives though! She brings so much joy and happiness to our home. Sometimes you forget just what having these special animals in your home can do for you!
Congratulations! I know just what you mean. She is adorable.
