What is the funniest thing you have ever said to your dog? #outofthemouthofadoodlemom!

I can't be the only one that if I  was video tapped would come up insane... I know I can't be... The things that I have caught myself saying to Jack after I have thought about it crack me up..

For instance.

Last night I could not sleep so we went for a ride... I ended up at Sonic fast food place and got a burger and slushy.... Jack was begging for a piece.. I looked him dead in the face and said " no baby this is poison, it has all kinds of chemical in it, you can't have this. You are only allowed healthy treats" as I went on and ate my burger. (what's wrong with me for eating this)

I also  have been adding a little more protein to Jack's diet.. so his poop hasn't been the best... He pooped a perfect poop... I was talking on the phone as I was walking him and out of my mouth came " Good poop Jack that was perfect, Mommy is so happy" The person I was talking to is not a dog person and didn't understand... which made it more funny.

This wasn't exactly to my dog but I to this day have not lived this down.... Jack was a new puppy at daycare.... At the time they were strict with pick up times, if you were too late, the puppy got put up for the night and you couldn't get him.... I was in a very serious case at work, lots of doctors around and well the case was going on and on and on and I needed to leave but of course you can't leave..duhhhh.... So I used the phone and called out to my boss.... I asked her to please get me relief because I had to get Jack from daycare.  My boss came in the room and asked me, did you just ask for relief so you can get your dog from daycare????   Yes as a matter of fact I did......Hey all the other parents do it...  I did get the relief but I was teased forever.

So what are some of the funniest things you have ever said to your dog?? I know I have more I just can't think of them.

These had me laughing Jen.  I don't typically talk to my doodles accept to tell them some command or good boy or something like that so I look forward to reading what everyone else posts.  Though I will admit that now that I"m living alone, I have found myself speaking to them more and more but don't think I have anything funny to report yet.  :)

OMD I talk to Jack like a regular person... Maybe I am the odd ball.... :)

I always talk to Bailey..not that it's funny But,  In the morning when I get up it's always...Good morning bug, what are we going to do today?...this isn't weird??  Right ???

I've always talked to my pets like normal people.  But I also carry on pretty big conversations with my daughter too, even when she was a tiny baby and had no clue what was going on. It's always just been me so I think I started it more out of companionship and just kind of stuck with it. I don't think it's weird. I think it's awesome and Im sure they enjoy it too (babies and pets alike!)

Oh no... I sing to Jack every morning... Totally normal. :)

Not weird at all! LOL!

So cute!

This isn't something I said but something my daughter said to our Golden, Riley. She likes me to put her up on Riley's back and hold her while Riley takes her for a ride (and YES Riley actually enjoys this too). I basically hold her up while we walk around the house or yard. One day when she was riding her she said "Thank you Riley for letting me take you for a ride. I wish Mommy could ride you too and then we wouldn't need her car anymore. But Mommy is too big and you are not a horse. Weeeeee"

THat is so cute..

I hope you write down everything that your daughter comes out with. She has quite an imagination and way with words for someone so little !

I actually make her a photo book every year. On her birthday she gets a book that is written as a story of her 1st year of life, 2nd year, (and the 3rd edition will be coming up soon). In the book I include pictures of her through the year highlighting her milestones and I put some of my favorite things she has done/said in there.

When she is 18 she will get them in a special box with 18 8x8 photo books capturing her life.

when i first read this I thought you meant that you made the photo book for your dogs.  lol  I realized that you meant for a human when you mentioned her being 18 and I thought to myself, wow that is a long time for a doodle to live.  hehehe...very cute idea and i'm sure your daughter will appreciate it.
