Poop and more poop - HELP

Okay, I have a three month old who Literally as she eats poops in her crate! She has been gradually moved from pedigree chum that the rescue centre were feeding her to Fromm holistic puppy food. I am giving her pro biotics in the morning and the pumpkin with her evening meal. What can I do?

Has she been checked for parasites?

I agree with Jane.  Take in a stool sample to the vet and get her checked for Giardia.  Even if she was checked before, get a re-test.

I'd bet that this puppy may well have the parasite Giardia. Have you had her checked out with the vet ?  Unfortunately it's often difficult to diagnose.  You need to bring a poop sample for testing.  There are lots of posts here about it which I urge you to search.  Just enter Giardia into the search box in the top right hand box and also go to the 'food group' where you will get great advice.

I agree with the others. She needs a fecal done ASAP. And if it is giardia, make sure the vet gives you Panacur and not just metronidazole.

No. I drove to Ohio to collect her as she was due to be put down due to failed surgery on her eyes. She's such a lovely girl.

I don't understand how Giardia and eating poop is related. Can someone please explain? Bender had Giardia when he was a puppy but never ate his poop.

I don't think she is eating poop. It sounds like she is pooping while she is eating, if I am reading the post correctly.

I thought the same thing until I read the post over again and again... and then I realized that is not what she said.  Put a comma between the words "eats" and "poops" and it will make sense.

Sorry for confusion! I typed without my glasses on! You are right. As she eats, it comes straight out the other end in seconds or at the same time.

Update. Fecal checks came back negative and she is now in a prescription diet. She is losing weight tho.
