Jackson has been sneezing and has a wet muzle for the last 24 hours. Sounds like he is trying to blow something out of his nose. He has not been his usual self. This morning we did our same am routine. He seemed a little distant sitting in corner all alone. When I put him in crate he started to howl and bark (completely out of ordinary behavior) . It seemed like seperation anxiety. I sat and sang him a little song to calm him and left for work. I came home for lunch and noticed he was stll sneezing a lot and face was still wet. I called vet and took him in. Vet said "maybe" respritory infection. I asked what evidence or how was he sure. He said he's not sure but we will have to do process of elemenation. I just have a gut feeling thats not it. And don't feel that great about giving him antibotics everytime he sneezes. Any suggestions? Signed Worried Doodle Mommy.

I looked up his nose last night, I didn't see anything. Today he is doing it less and seems happier. I did not use the antibiotics I plan to try to treat it like an allergy not an infection. I did use benydril last night he was so sleepy:( I am with banifield until he is 1yr, but next time I will try a different location.

are you in an area where there are multiple banfield locations within driving distance?  you could always try another location and see if you like that vet any better while you wait for your wellness plan to run out.

Yes I have several in my area. I will try a different location next time.
Adorable picture! He is loving getting loved on by his mommy, isn't he?

I just want to say that I think it's awesome that you sang him a song to calm him down.

Hi Becka! Ive been singing twinkle little star since the 1st day I brought him home. It comforts him when he's down.

OH - What a great picture!  I hope he is continuing to improve.

Thanks for all the great comments. Jackson seems a little better today. He is sneezing less but still a little withdrawn.
No more snezzing. But did the sneezing trigger something worse? He is still barking. We never had this problem. We have the same routine no changes. Am walk, lunch time walk, afternoon walk at least 2-3hrs per day.. He is crate trained and cooperates with the daily routine. But this week has been ad nightmare for us both:( He is barking before I get up in the morning and when I leave to work on my lunch time for at least an hour straight. He starts with a growl for awhile then the loudest bark possible for a long time. I am so sad...what triggered this? How do I reverse it:(
