I will be purchasing a Shark Navigator vacuum very soon and am trying to narrow down my selection since there are several different models. They all say they have powerful pet hair removal, some have the word Professional in them- does that make it better? I remember people on here mentioning that they had one and absolutely loved it.  What model do you have/recommend?

I don't know about the Shark brand... But if you aren't 100% committed to Shark, I have a Dyson Animal and love it!!!!

Someone else told me about that. I wish I could get that vacuum but Dyson is just way out of my price range so Shark is the next runner up.

Understood.... They are an investment.

I got the shark because i didn't want to invest in a dyson.  I have the shark navigator lift away so that I can vacuum my stairs more easily.  I really like it.

I have the Shark Navigator Professional and love it.

I just got the Shark Navigator Professional Lift Away. Before that I had the old Navigator. I do recommend the professional, but I am not loving the lift away part. The hose is too short for things I need it to do, like under couches and entertainment center. I also find that I just lift the whole vacuum to use on the stairs and I never remove the base. The non lift away ones have a longer hard hose that I like better, but the professional ones have a valve where you can adjust the suction level, for higher pile rugs and what not, which I really like! They also have the swivel head which is another favorite feature of mine! Sorry, I kind of get excited about vacuums! My husband bought me my new one and I was giddy!

lol I'm sold!

Haha no apology necessary. This is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for :)

I was wondering how people liked the lift away. I don't have stairs so I don't think I would actually need it. I'm leaning towards the Shark Navigator Professional (non lift away) now. Thanks so much!!!

if you don't have stairs then you probably don't need to worry about the liftaway.

We have the shark vac then steam and we love it! We have mostly hard flooring, so its perfect for us, but if you have a lot of carpet then I have heard the navigator works great.

Well my hopes for a Shark Navigator were short lived. It looks like that money will be going toward a trampoline instead.  Oh the things we do for our children.... ;)

I do believe I will be going with the Shark Navigator Professional eventually though!

Got my Shark Navigator (professional rotator) and just vacuumed with it.  It's official... I'M IN LOVE!!!!  I had just vacuumed on Sunday with my old vacuum but 2 rooms (yes only 2 rooms) filled the entire canister with the Shark.  I was disgusted and excited all at the same time :)
