I would be completely terrified of her, and would label her a crazed stalker. I would probably request a restraining order on her if she were a person. But, she is a dog, so I love that she does this, and it doesn't bother me one bit - I find it endearing. I think it shows how much she loves me.

But I will be in the kitchen making some food, or near the washer/dryer doing laundry, brushing my hair in the bathroom mirror.... I can always feel that someone is watching me.... And it's always Annie. She will crane her neck over the couch from across the room so she can see me. If I leave her sight behind a wall or barrier, she will move her head so she can watch me. It doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, Annie will either be RIGHT at my side, or watching my every move from wherever she is standing or laying.

I'm sure Annie cannot be the only doodle that does this. Annie is the first (but not last) doodle I've had, and she is also the first dog I've ever had that has to watch my every move or be right by my side. I think this makes her the best dog ever, because she is so loyal to me... But are there any other doodles out there that would be a crazy stalker if they were not a dog?

I wish, the only command that Stanlee cannot master is the no jumping rule and he is the worst with me.  Someone else can come to the house and he’s fine so long as he has something in his mouth but he could have four things dangling from his lips and he still has to jump on me to kiss me and see me and lick me and hug me and touch me and MOMMY’S HOME!!!!!

To be fair, I have been working from home for the past few months, so really the only time we're apart is when I leave her in her crate to go out to eat or run to the store.  I have to go to the office next week, every day - so I guess that will be the real test, OMG I'm getting nervous - I should probably wear body armor to prevent bruises....

How did you train your dogs not to jump on you?  Bender jumps on ME AND ANYONE that comes into our house!  it's really annoying!  Zoe does it too but hers is more of a two paw on my knee thing so i can pet her and she will get down but MAN this guy is VERY tall if hes standing on his back two feet and has his LONG pony arms flailing around!  Not to mention he can jump like a kangaroo!  his paws hurt :(

I've trained Annie with the clicker, and over the past month or so, I would act really excited and throw my arms out to the side like "HEY!!!!" to entice her into being excited - and of course she would run right up to me - and just before she would jump, I would say "AH AH" to prevent her from jumping.  Then she would get a click and a treat for NOT Jumping on me.  She learned that pretty quick, but it's much harder to train with strangers, because she just loves people so much that she goes deaf when she sees someone that she wants to meet.

Quincy used to be a stalker big time, he is cutting us a little slack as he gets older but when he is off leash he never lets us out of sight.

Charlie is definitely like this. That is how he got the nickname "Boo". When he was a puppy (and still to this day) you would turn around and there he would be, staring at you. Don't know how he got there, never heard a jingle from his collar. It was eerie at first. But he is definitely a velcro dog. Now that he is older (7 years) he will sometimes go upstairs to his bed if he is tired but that is a rare occasion and I find myself wondering where he is and what he is up to!

Quincy follows me wherever I go.  Sometimes I feel bad if he is resting and I run upstairs for a quick second because he is sure to follow me, jump up on my bed and get comfy, and then jump down and follow me back downstairs.  He waits outside the shower and if I don't let him in, he is waiting patiently for me outside the door.  I do love it.

Aw what a sweet boy.  I also feel bad if Annie is sleeping and she gets up to follow me, only to lay down again, and have to get up again.  HAHA

Libby is definitely my velcro girl!  Where ever I go she goes and stays at my feet or very close to me.  I love it and if for some reason she is not by me, I get a little worried.  Usually that means she is into something she shouldn't be and knows not to be near me. I love her wanting to be close to me especially when I am at the kitchen table and she lays on my feet.  So sweet and comfy:)  Love these Doodles:)

I love this!  My Finley would definitely be a stalker too if he were a person!  Finley is only 11 weeks and he follows me everywhere and only me.  My husband can get up and Finley will stay where he is, but if he hears me move he jumps up and gets ready to follow.  Sometimes I find myself quietly sneaking out just to go to the bathroom by myself.  He will usually sleep right under my feet so he can feel when I move.  :)

Laughing Jen,    I never thought about from the perspective of our dog being a human.....YIKES....I know JUST what you mean.....it would be way too creepy!   But, from this fluffy little Muppet...it's the most endearing thing ever!    I love that Banjo is my Velcro Buddy.    In those weak moments when I let myself think about life without Banjo I can't even imagine having that empty space around me........

Bexter is definitely velcro.  He follows me wherever I go and I love it!  He is definitely a mommy's boy. If I ever notice he is not with me, that immediately signals that he is into something he should not be, so it makes it easy to figure out when he's in trouble!  Whenever he gets something (a napkin for example), he takes it into his "spot" in the corner of the living room.  So, whenever I see he is not with me, I'll go to that spot and say "Drop it" and it works like a charm.  Maggie is a bit more independent than him, but not much.  Usually, they are both right with me.
