Plain yogurt for doodles

Hi! I was just wondering if any of you doodle owners have given them plain yogurt once a day on their food? The breeders said it was good for our puppy(Luke) and it's good for his coat! He seems to love it!

I do- especially now since he is on antibiotics for kennel cough.  Look in the Food Group for "human" foods that are safe and good for your doodle.

I feed Meg one tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt each morning, she loves it.

yes, many of us give our dogs yogurt, for the beneficial bacterial cultures. As Lori mentioned, it's especially important when they are on antibiotics. (Don't give yogurt or any probiotics within two hours of giving antibiotics). Use plain, unflavored fat-free yogurt. You can add dried cranberries or blueberries to it, too, for a treat.

We give our guys plain, fat free yogurt every day. They love it and it is good for digestion.

Yes, been giving to both of mine since they were pups. I do mix into their dry food pretty well though or they come up with a beard full of yogurt. Lol. I do cook for them and dehydrate their treats well, so there are many foods they can eat, cooked or raw. The food group has the food Restrictions for dogs. I feel it can't hurt to give yogurt for their digestive system,but if it does anything for the coat, I'm not sure.

I give my "2" plain greek yogurt for a snack a couple of times a week. Can't eat one in front of them without Sharing!!!! LOL
