What size collar?

What size collar should I get to bring our 8 week old standard doodle home with?  We get him in a week and a half!!!! So excited!

Congrats! I started with simple small nylon collar. As he got stronger I switched to gental leader harness. We worked hard to set rules from day one. We put collar and leash on him for a couple of hours each day. Pack leader leaves and enters the home first and leads the walk. You can pratice in and out back door (during isolation). He is now 11months and walks behind no pulling;) I do have the occasional challenge with him being lazy and refuse to walk like an old bulldog;) Well Enjoy the ups and down/twist and turns of raising a puppy! Good times for sure!. Side note hide all the socks and panties... lol doodles love to eat wierd things;)

Thanks!!  I appreciate your reply!  I was looking for a collar without the plastic snap that a lot have, I like a buckle, but it's hard to find, at least to get the right size.  I may have to get that type at first because it is more adjustable. 

We visited him yesterday and he seems like such a smart pup.  I have a feeling we are going to have our hands full!!!  He whined a little bit and was looking into another room, I said I think he has to go pee, so the breeder put down newspaper, he walked over and peed right on it!!  I am hoping that that means he will be easy to train!  We get him this weekend!!!  SO excited!
