Regarding RESPITE/REHOME
We live in Washington (spokane specifically).  This has nothing to do with Chloe :(  she is typically a great dog but I am in my first trimester of a pregnancy that is making me very very ill.  I am sick all the time and she is being neglected in my care.  Yesterday I had to go in the the hospital and she was alone over 12 hours.  That was the final straw for me :(   Please post/email any inquires to me on my page.  She is housebroken, sweet personality, loves fetch like nothing else on earth matters and is up to date with all vet care/vaccines.  Respite is preferable but I will consider rehoming for her sake :( Please help!

Oh Rose, I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. I would absolutely be willing to take Chloe for you for a while however, I live in Florida. I'm so sorry there isn't anyone closer to you for help! I'm guessing there is no family close by? I will be sending prayers and good thoughts your way so that you can get the help you need!

I, too, would absolutely taker her in a heartbeat to care for her during your pregnancy because I have been there myself. But I live in Indiana. I wish there was a way for me to be of more help but I just want to encourage you to really push for the temporary caregiver vs the rehome. It will beautiful when you are reunited and she can be there and grow with the baby. Hopefully you can find someone in your area that way you can still spend time with her. Good luck!

Oh wow that was before I joined DK but I just read it and it sounded like a possible rehome then as well though her last comment on there was that she hadn't completely given up yet so maybe the rehome fell off the table at that time. So sad that the topic is up for discussion again so soon:( but I'm sure someone will be able to help find Chloe a new home if it is a definite this time.

Have you contacted her breeder?  Some breeder would like to take them back if you are no longer able to care for them. May be you can take look at your contract or contact them to see if that is an option.

I think she left. Her comments are gone and her profile is blank. Poor Chloe. We didn't even really get a chance to help. The fact that she felt so deeply attacked by that small amount of questioning definitely makes me think something bigger was going on. I could get past her old post with a simple explanation that Chloe got better and she decided she could take care of her until this latest incident but with how quick she jumped ship the first time it was mentioned definitely raises a red flag. That was odd.
