Ocean Grove Doodle Romp

Hi All - Kate and Maci here.  Just wanted to let everyone one I am coordinating a doodle romp in honor of IDOG's (International Doodle Owners Group) Romp Around the World, which is normally held in April.  The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. until whenever.  We normally just all meet on the beach somewhere around Main Avenue and Ocean Avenue.

 

This is a fundraiser to raise money for IDOG - a great organization that rescues and rehomes Labradoodles and Goldendoodles.  While I have not set a dollar amount to contribute as some of the other RAW romps do, since I know this is not the best of financial times for a lot of people, I will have a little container/jug and ask that you contribute whatever you feel you can afford.  What better way to raise some money - a fun day on the beach with great doodles and their humans all while having fun.  Hope to see you there!!!

Hi Kate,

    I  was so very much looking forward to coming with all 3 of my furry guys. I miss all of you and would love to be with everyone. However, my friend's father died and his funeral is on Sunday at 11 AM in lakewood , which is at least 30 minutes away. There is a luncheon following the funeral, which would make me think i would not be back until until close to 2 PM. I would think you would all be gone by then.

   I did not respond sooner, for they had changed the date and place of his funeral a few times so I was unsure

   If by any chance I get back alot sooner, I will look to see if you are all there.

By the way, I put my retirement papers in for June 1, 2013, so I will have time to meet some of you during the week if you want to. After the summer season does not allow us on the beach we could always meet by the beach and then romp in my yard.

Hi Sue,  I'm sorry you're not going to be able to join us tomorrow but I'm excited you'll soon be available during the week to romp.  We can always meet at the dog beach in Manasquan.  Congratulations on your retirement!!  I look forward to see you, catching up & romping very soon!!!

It sounds like you had a great day. What time did everyone leave? I got home around 3:30 PM. I figured that everyone would be gone by then.

Not sure how long everyone stayed - a few of us left around noon - it's was a beautiful sunny day but still a bit cool on the beach.

Hi Sue - sorry about your friends day and bummer that you couldn't join us.  We had a fun time and raised a few bucks for IDOG.  While a little chilly for the humans, I don't  think the doodles cared (lol).

 

Congrats on the upcoming retirement and yes, we'll have to get together somewhere.  Hugs to all your pups!!
