This article was on FB - something I don't want to think about but with 3 dogs I know there will be a time that I will have no choice.

Can't see to type through the tears but...THANK YOU for posting!!
I ask myself this question every day about my Gus.
Andy, thank you for posting this link. "When is the right time?" is the hardest question any of us ever has to answer. This article provides some help in making that decision.
I am bookmarking this as I know I will have to revisit this topic in a couple of years. Thank you so much for posting this. It really does put things in perspective. I have never had to make this decision before so I know that when the time comes it will not be one I make lightly.
Whoa, I could hardly get through this article, but it was very good advice. It is certainly something we will all face one day and this puts a better perspective on it for me, but soooo sad too. Thank you for posting and sharing.
Such a hard decision--I've been there and no doubt will be there again. Thanks for positing.
Very good article. Having been through this several times, it is still hard to make a decision that it is the right time. My friend recently had to euthanize two horses. They were both ill and no chance of getting better. They were totally dependent on each other and the thought of one dying and leaving the other was the big question. She stayed with them and even made a book of their last day. I thought it would be okay for me to look at the book, but I couldn't sleep for two nights. After that, a sick dog would be no problem at all. Well, I say that until I have to do it. The other dogs we have euthanized were my husband's and son's. The doodles are mine and I will make the decision for them. I know it won't be easy.
Thank you for posting this. As hard as it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet, it is harder to watch them suffer and selfish to let it go on and on and on. I am keeping this article as a guideline as a reminder to help me realize the 'when.'
Oh gosh, what is the name of that book? I think it was Merle's Door. A great book about this same sort of thing. Read it if you can get your hands on it.
Andy, Thank you for posting this.... This is truly the most difficult decision to make and I believe always second guess your self with ( for?).... This article came from very warm and empathetic approach, and was very helpful....
Hard to read but very important. Thanks for posting.
