Izzy - Great News!

The winner is......ACANA PACIFICA. I am sure you can recall all the posts regarding the GI issues Izzy has had and without this forum I think I would have gone crazy. I was beside myself many times with her out of control, runny bottom. She would even poop in her sleep and sorry to be so graphic but it would literally just come out, she had no control I had poop all over the place after she was fed, and at one stage, and for a while, we would shower in the mornings together.

Well.......great news.......after weaning her off of a very high fiber crapy vet prescribed food over two months, yes two months, this morning we have had our first normal poop at the grand age of seven and a half months! And she is now keeping food in her system for more than 30 minutes after being fed. Well done Izzy. I am so pleased (as you can tell) that I can feed her a high quality food that she can tolerate and that I know will enable her to continue to grow as she should.

Big brother Harvey is now being weaned onto the same food. Thankfully not much upsets his GI tract! Huge big thank you to so many of you for your support.

Good news indeed. I'm a great fan of both Orijen and Acana. The Pacifica is a great favourite with my boys.

Great. Sometimes it takes some real experimentation to get the right food for a doodle with a delicate system. We have to all remember that vets are doctors too and are trained in prescribing drugs and doing surgeries. It is too bad really. Alternative medicine for our canine friends? It's coming.
