We have to go out of town to a wedding, its going to be to long to leave the doodle here by himself. Have people that can let him out, but afraid of what we would come home to with all his alone time. Feel bad boarding him, it will be for 24 hours. Please tell me this is ok :/

Are you driving to the wedding? Just wondering if there are more choices of places near where you are staying and he will be there less time. Maybe he can just be at a fun doggie daycare while you are at the wedding, or spend the night if need be. Bella gets car sick too. We just give her ginger cookies, no food for several hours before hand and put several layers on the seat to protect and peel off if/when she vomits. But she LOVES car rides. I wouldn't force it if she were miserable and car sick. Just a thought.

We drove to the wedding but wasnt familier with places to board him there. He survived the boarding and will prob never go back unless its an emergency with no other option. Loki does get car sick but Tuesday I took him to the groomer, 30 miles away, always gets car sick 1-2 times on the way, I gave him Dramamine, 50mg, about 45 minutes before we left, and he didnt get sick!! Was wonderful :) I want him to enjoy car rides so bad, and we have a pontoon and would love to take him with us to the lake. Hopfully he outgrows it. Thanks for your feedback!

We have boarded Finnegan.  The same kennel offers doggy day care and grooming services and he LOVES it there.  They are not kenneled but have small "bedrooms" for sleeping.   We do have the option of having him sleep in his kennel but he no longer uses it at night when we are at home.  The owner and staff clearly genuinely love the dogs and they are like a second family for him so I feel perfectly comfortable leaving him in their care.  It is so much easier if you are able to find someone that you trust.
