As promised, here is a picture of Casey and Cody. For all the photographers out there, I admire you. I can't tell you how many pictures I've attempted this morning to finally get one useable one. :). Cody is a little cutie pie, but with a solid black dog with black eyes and a black nose, I couldn't get much definition. I hope that these guys will make me a better photographer as time goes on. Enjoy.

How did you get them to sit still?  They must be exhausted from playing :)  They are both adorable...how is it having 2 little ones at the same time?

Yep! Ran them around the backyard for awhile, then brought them in and put them on the couch. They were all sprawled out, made a funny noise so they both sat up to look and I snapped the picture. After MANY attempts, finally got a useable one.

They r adorable! Loo is black and it is very hard to get a picture that does her justice! Enjoy your new additions!

SO much fun!!!  They are precious. Just like kids - they have their own individual, unique personality. Casey is very laid-back and Cody is a live wire that is rarely still.  They are doing well. Housebreaking is going to be a challenge (but isn't it always :)

They are so cute!!  Congrats!

Ok I'm sitting here with a huge cup of coffee and eyes propped open. What is that old saying ---"be careful what you ask for, you may get it". Well - we got it! Casey is SUCH a good boy. At night he will sleep 4-5 hours now between needing to go pee. He gets in his crate and is quiet. And then there is Cody!!! Cody HATES being in a crate. About the most he will be quiet is anywhere between 1 to 1.5 hours. We have tried crating him with Casey, by himself, in a crate next to Casey, with his SnugglePuppy, without his SnugglePuppy, etc. he is just too funny! Even when he is eating in his crate, he is fussing. One bite of food, bark, cry, another bite of food - repeat process. He is ultra high maintenance!!! But So dang cute!! I don't mind when I don't have to go to work the next day, but it isn't fun when I do. Also - they watch the dachshunds go through the doggie door but they won't try it. We have put them through it, even held it open for them and they still won't attempt it on their own. ( BTW - doggie door leads to a deck and very safe backyard where my dachshunds play all the time. Fully fenced and inspected frequently for things they could get into.). Guess all of this will come with age and time.
It is amazing how different and alike each dog is! I always hoped those difficult phases would be short lived! Sometimes I was lucky sometimes not so lucky! Regardless we all survived and life is good!

I'm happy to report that for the past 3 nights, things have been MUCH better. We take the boys out prior to bedtime for a romp around the yard. Put them to bed in their separate crates around 10 pm, and haven't heard from them until around 4:30.  I take them out for a quick potty time, then everyone goes back to bed until 6.  Casey has even mastered the doggie door.  I'm sure that Cody will figure it out soon.

It is SO much fun watching these two - they have SUCH different personalities, but they do love to romp and play - then they want to sleep for long periods of time. Such sweet babies!

Happy to hear things are already better! They will be sleeping thru the night before u known it! Enjoy!
