Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Welcome to puppy madness! I think it would be a great idea to all post a little about yourself and your doodle. Photos are ALWAYS welcome.
Thinks you might want to share:
1) Your Name/Doodle Name
2) Location
3) Doodle type (goldendoodle/labradoodle; mini/standard; F1/F2)
4) Doodle age/weight
5) Photo
6) Anything else
Would also be great to come back here as your doodle ages to respond to your comment and post updates for age/weight/photos etc.

Thank you for your thoughts. We have driven her in the car to go to Puppy Training, the groomer and vet. She starts foaming at the mouth and eventually throws up. So we thought we'd try easing her into the car. A friend who trains dalmations suggested this technique. If it doesn't work, my next move is to talk to the vet. Appreciate your ideas.
Hi Pam!
Whidbey did a similar thing at first. You are doing all the right things! As she starts getting just a tad older, start taking her to FUN stuff! The Dog Park- The Beach- or places where she can PLAY! She will eventually start associating the car with fun things.
We are still having issues with her as I leave the car to go inside. It's a bit of separation anxiety that she has, that I am learning that if I put her on the leash, let her get out with me and take about 10-20 steps outside before I leave, she will get back in the car and wait with no issues.
I am learning here that each doodle has their own unique quirks- and with our dog, the car is one of those huge steps we have also been working on. Give her lots of praise when she is in the car, and keep reassuring her. She will get through it. They always do!

Thank you.
What a pretty girl!
Our dog got used to the car fast. The first couple rides we had him in a crate and he barfed both times. After that we would take him on short trips like to the bus stop in the morning. Before our trip to the beach 5hr ride the vet gave us some anti nausea meds. That worked well. Plus I took a laundry basket lined it with a blanket and secured it between my two sons who could pet him if he got nervous. He really liked that. After 2 more beach trips he is now a seasoned traveler and no longer gets sick. :) Not sure what I will use once he is too big for the basket. :S

Thank you Kimberly.
Pam, Mackenzie is so cute!! What a pretty puppy!
Precious!
Thanks Pam! :)
Sara, Birdie is sooo cute! She looks a lot like Whidbey did when we brought her home on February 23rd! We are a couple months ahead of you, and I understand about instantly falling in love with them!! MANY congrats on your beautiful baby girl! You will continue to love her more every single day!!
Thanks Suzanne! Birdie has been lots of fun. We are now seeing the accidents and nipping, so some times are more fun than others ;), but we are trying to take them in stride.
