Parti Goldendoodles

Someone with knowledge about parti goldendoodles (I know nothing)...Will a black and white parti puppy typically stay black and white as an adult or does the black lighten with age to a silver/grey? Does the adult black and white parti end up looking like a sheepdog's coloring or can they stay a true dark black with white?

My black and white parti LD was really BLACK and WHITE as a pup, but his black is now getting some white hairs mixed in and most of his white has black hairs or has turned to grey--his dad was that way too--so my suggestion would be to take a look at all the partis in the dog's genetic line--not just the parents. Take a look at how much my guy has changed--he is 2 1/2. First pic is now, second is when he was about 5 months old.
