Here is the painting with Corel Painter Essentials. Started with Auto Paint and then played a little after watching tutorial.

Oh, Mr. Buddy is sooooo cute! I love the touch of snow on his chin. You did a great job. I didn't even get to pick up the pen on my Wacom today. Hopefully tomorrow night I can get a chance to play around. I did watch the tutorial but I think I need to understand more that just that. Do you know what the metal band is for that came in the little plastic bag with the extra pen tips? Pats and hugs to Kona and Buddy! Great work!

Nancie, I have noooo idea what that metal thing is for???? Maybe we will run across the answer somewhere in the instructions..... I watched the first 5 tutorials or so and just started to play around. I can't wait to learn to do the brush work on the paintings. I am going to print out the tutorials too, maybe I can make some notes as I watch so I can remember when I am doing the painting. You can get your canvas and picture all ready to go and still play the tutorial while you are working. I did that tonight when I couldn't remember what to use to bring out the facial details I wanted to. Thanks, and I can't wait to see yours...... Smooches to Gracie from all of us :P

That's really cool! I can't wait to have some time to try out my Wacom tablet and pen. I hope I can get the same results.

Where do you get the tutorials? I have Corel 12 on my design computer, along with iClouds, Adobe Photoshop, and Autocad. Now I just need to get going.

I think my Corel came with the tutorials. I know I could even print them out so I could follow along as I was playing with them. I think my Corel is a much earlier version than 12 though Lynda. It's on my home computer.
