I had a CRAFTs moment and Charli is paying the price. My goal was to trim her head down a little bit since it was getting very round on top. I combed her out, used a 1/4" comb over the blade. Took the comb off to clean it since I hit a snag in her hair. Combed out the snag and started up the clippers again. I was so impressed how well I combed her since I didn't hit 1 snag. Then I looked again and I saw that I forgot to put the comb back on the clippers! What a fool!! I got the rest of her head to the same extremely short head.  I love the shortness but the doodle bump in the middle of her head is huge and it sticks out like she has a tent on her head. Nothing I can do about that but wait for it to grow in.  I do have to trim those Schnauzer eye brows done.

I didn't touch her ears. They are full the way I love them but with this shearing they are too full (she looks like the Flying Nun).  Here's the question:

Do I trim the top of the ears and shape them and leave them as full as possible? or totally trim them short to her flap? What about her beard?

I know it will all grow back but I am seriously irritated with myself.

She is really much prettier then she is in these pictures. She was not cooperating at all.

Check out that skull point!

Regular scissors won't work on it? Tara's is straight and thin  and I just cut it with scissors.  I don't have experience with curly. Sorry.

Straight shears or even curved shears should work. Just comb it out then cut. You can finish with thinning shears if you feel it looks uneven. Lucy also has a thick, curly/wooly beard (of which I have the prof. groomer keep short now) and I've cut it many times.

I would think a comb and some scissors would do it or a comb ad the clippers with no attachment. That way you could blend it in with the rest of her face and neck. I sort of like it but if you did anything maybe just round it out a little a half an inch at most
