I did a good deed today and have to share!

This morning my husband and I were driving and saw something in the road that appeared to be a wallet or purse. We pulled over and picked it up, and it was a large mans wallet filled with credit cards, ID and several 100 dollars in cash! We quickly realized that someone would be devastated over this, and looked thru to find an ID or something to locate the person. Finding his AAA card, I called and gave his name and account # to the lady with AAA, and told her what happened. She placed me on hold while she contacted the man. She came back on the line and said he wanted to talk to me, so she patched us thru, and i explained to him that I was just an honest, caring person who would want the same thing done for me, if it was something I had lost, and that i knew it was very important to get it returned to him right away! He said I was an "Angel" and thanked me several times, then he said he was a Doctor and was on his way to the hospital, so he would have his wife contact me to arrange to meet and return it to them. She then called me after a while and we agreed to meet at a nearby Starbucks location. When I arrived with my 2 Doodles in the truck with me, she was in awe of my dogs, and was so thankful for what we had done. She shook my hand and I felt her place some folded bills in my hand. I immediately said that was not necessary and tried to hand it back to her, but she would not take it back, saying that we had just saved them 100's of dollars and time. I didnt even look at it, and put it in my pocket, then we talked about my dogs and I explained that I am a Pet Sitter and gave her my business cards! Never miss and opportunity to network! = ).

As I drove away I looked at what she had given me, and it was 2, $100.00 bills~! I was just shocked, and thankful, and proud to be an honest, caring person! I believe in good karma!

What a great day for you and the doctor and your pup!!! Many years ago I found a mobile phone and the owner came by my job to pick up the phone. He left for me a nice note and a box of chocolate truffles. What comes around....
