Well, my complete uneducated guess is that she will be curly. Check out the photos in this group to see! I'm not sure that curly necessarily equals harder to maintain. I have a curly Labradoodle here that we are fostering right now and her coat isn't hard to maintain but she is cut short right now. Curly normally means less shedding but it isn't a total guarantee. What you will find with doodles is that you will know once they are a little over a year old what they are going to end up looking like. The one sure thing though is that you will be head over heels in love regardless!
Here is a pup that is 11 weeks old that is going to be a curly girl-- I think yours will have a curly wave--maybe spirals--but curlier than now for sure--they usually get curlier as they get older--one of my doodles is now almost 5 and has gotten much curlier in the last year. Another one that is 6 has gotten straighter, so it is a guessing game!
Nothing to be afraid of though--doodles do require a lot of coat maintenance, especially between 1 and 2 years of age, but it is not something you can't handle!
Oh my gosh, that puppy is adorable!! And her coat is much thicker than Millie's. Thank you to both of you for sharing your thoughts. I'm hoping she doesn't get TOO curly, but as long as I can maintain it okay, we'll be good!
My guess is curly.
Ooh, yes agree that Millie looks like her! Millie's legs are pretty curly, and around her face, but her body is not as much. I do love not knowing exactly how her coat will end up, it's fun to watch it change already. Thank you!
Go to Nancie's page. She has tons and tons of pictures of Gracie there.
