Sore bottom

Every time I have Wiggins groomed he comes home and does the bottom scoot for a few days. It doesn't look sore or red, but he did have a sani trim. Any ideas what I can do to help him over this obvious discomfort. Thanks in advance.

Lucy use to have obvious discomfort on her bottom, too, after a groom. I asked my groomer to scissor cut that area instead of shave it with a clipper. Problem solved. For relief, you can try an ointment for dogs. I found one at Petco or Petsmart... I forget which, but it helped a lot.

Thanks for the help. I will ask for a scissor cut in future when giving the sani cut. I am off to Petco/Petsmart to ask for help as soon as they open. Bottom scooting is so unattractive :-)

You might have an itchy sore bottom too if for example you exfoliated that area ;). I groom my dogs myself and never use clippers on those tender areas. Scissors will solve this sensitive issue.
