I am looking for some feedback on the "No Bark" Collars. Are they safe? Do they work!?

I have had 100% success with the Petsafe Premier Gentle Spray citronella anti-bark collar.  As to the safety? Camus has done well with it - no side effects.

I used the same product to persuade Wally to stop jumping on people when he was a puppy.  t worked like a charm.

Citronella gives me the worst headaches and nausea. I wonder why? I wonder what it does to dogs?

I just checked the link and you can get unscented spray, but does it do anything at all?

I have the collar that gives the pup a warning after several barks and then a bit of a buzzing-vibration kind of thing on the vocal cords--they do not like it but i am not really sure they get that it happened because they barked--so they end up just sitting by the house not knowing what they did wrong--for that reason, I only use it on occasion when neighbors are having a lot of company or something and the dogs won't stop barking--I think a smarter dog would figure it out though!

I was wondering this as well.

Update for us in this discussion: We have e-collars for our doodles. We needed them especially when we are camping in our RV.  We can control our dog's barking when we are there, but when we leave the RV, they bark at people in the next campsite.  We found that they were magic. When the dog barks, they receive a mild shock - if they bark again the shock is a bit stronger.  What we found is that since they don't bark or only bark once, they don't get overly excited and don't amp each other up either.  We wish we had done this years ago.
