We finally made to our room in Forrest City, Arkansas. Traffic was decent all the way, well mostly, but nothing to report about. Seems the July 4th traffic has already started. Didn't bother use though. Just put it in cruise control and did the speed limit all the way. Precious cargo with me.
We stopped again before Memphis for another potty break and for Honey's supper. This rest stop had a wooded area and we went into it. WOW! Honey's nose really kicked in. She was all over the place sniffing out...things.
We went through Memphis and stopped for a fuel break....the chariot needs one, too. When back on the road we were in our tonight's digs in less than an hour, but....the hour was after 8 PM ( 7 PM EDST).
Today's totals: 690 miles/12 hours 25 minutes on the road(including breaks). This was hard on our baby, but she endured it with an attitude I am proud of.
Tomorrow...another marathon day, But she will be in her Angles arms. Not sure if I am going to stand up to my departure either.
Sheri/Mike...you can be rest assured she misses y'all.
When we left the chariot and got into our room, Honey collapsed. She was so tired. She did not not sleep at all on the ride. I am sure she wanted to go back "HOME". But, she also I believe she knew she was headed for another life. She really became cuddly and mopey. A sign of insecurity. I did my best to comfort her, but when I picked out some of her favorite toys from her Foster parents...she calmed down. She is now SOUND asleep and will be ready for tomorrow's journey. Honey...How can anyone NOT love you.?
Pictures???
Honey.. when we got into our room. She was so exhausted. I held her for just a moment and she immediately crashed....
After a quick nap she realized she was hungry. She was not sure at first, but once she had one taste...GOBBLE>>GOBBLE. Good girl, Honey.
Once she seemed comfortable we cuddled on the king bed in the room. In seconds she was sound asleep. We all all hitting the hay for our next day. Damn, Folks..this is not easy,but......so gratifying. Try it...you'll like it.
Sorry for the late post, but it has been a long day. Tomorrow..up early and of to Doc Beam's place. Dang..I love this.

I put off reading this until this morning. I am happy for Honey and all that is good happening for her in her short life. I hope she recovers quickly, and will finally get settled, and feel a complete secureness in her new forever home.
Thank you for making the journey and taking such good care of Honey. Safe journey on the rest of your travels.
Thank you so much for all that you do!!! Safe travels to you all!
Dane, Thank you so much for keeping us posted on your progress. You and Honey are on quite the adventure. What a gift!
Bless you for doing this! There is nothing more rewarding and beautiful than truly helping another creature (2 or 4 legged) when it's truly needed. And there is nothing like the look that you get when a furbaby realizes all that you've done and are doing for them. I've been on the receiving end and that look is truly priceless. I wish you many of those 'looks' on your journey with Honey. Love, hugs, and prayers to you and Honey as you continue your beautiful journey to love, health, and happiness!
Thank you! Give Honey a hug from Laurie, Fudge, and Vern! Safe travels!
I love the blog, you are so awesome for doing this. Thank you for keeping us updated!
Honey made it to Dr. Beam at 4:30 this afternoon! WOO-HOO! Dane called me and I could hear the sadness in his voice. He said it was so hard to say goodbye........Shhhhhhh......... I think Miss Honey may have chosen her "furever" home...: )
Big smile!
