Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I contacted Kemp (our DK Les Pooch expert) at Doodle Country to see about getting a Les Pooch brush for Goldie. While he did help me land on the one we need, the Regular size Purple Brush, he also informed me that they are currently out of all brushes except the Wide sized green ones.
I wanted to share what he had to say just in case anyone else out there is looking for a Les Pooch:
"The Les Poochs Company has stopped shipping brushes to all retailers while the company is reorganizing and relocating their production facility. Most retailers have been sold out of the brushes for several months. We anticipate production to be halted until the fall season. The Doodle Country Store is the largest volume online retailer of Les Poochs brushes, and we have been given priority to receive the first shipment when production resumes. If you would like to be notified when the brushes are available please request to be included on our waiting list....Contact: Kemp@doodlecountry.com"
With that said, I don't suppose anyone happens to have an extra purple les pooch they could mail me to borrow or buy do they? ;) I can't even find them on ebay anymore!
I guess I will start the DK search for another brush recommendation to get me through the dreaded coat change because I won't be able to wait until Fall.

No kidding! I'm hopeful that this $12 miracle brush really works miracles. It's more in line with my budget FO SHO!
Although, I don't think that is so nice of the Les Pooch people to accept orders for something when they know they can't deliver. I just went on the website and they are STILL accepting orders.
That is crazy. I would place a formal complaint. That is way too long to hold on to your money and not deliver a product. You could use that money on a different brush. I would ask for a refund and have them contact you when they're back in stock.
I'm on the waiting list with Kemp but I need to buy something else in the meantime.
My impression, from when I got my last brush was that they are not a very nice company. Certainly their customer relations are lacking. They have scissors and things that cost thousands. so I guess brushes are piddly to them.
I ordered two different ones on Amazon last week. They were both inexpensive and got good reviews so I figured nothing to lose. I have to jump on a work call right now, but I will post a better explanation once I get off.
Amen.
Truly. Over the 5+ doodle years,I have found it is easier to cut some mats out than to spend the time and energy working them out no matter what brushes you have. Just protect the dog's skin with your fingers or a comb. and nowadays, getting the doodles groomed every couple of months, I used to do it myself, there aren't many.
Oh I cut some out. Right under the collar line on her chest she has a huge chunk of hair missing since I just pretty much gave up on that spot and cut it out :/
GET AN MGT SLICKER BRUSH. IT IS NOT AS GREAT AS THE LESPOUCHS BUT IT IS A GREAT SUBSTITUTE.

I completely agree. We used this for Darwin for a long time, and it always did it's job. The Les Poochs makes it easier but this will do the job.
We have a green double head, and Quincy is just not a fan.
Sadie has never tolerated being brushed with her Les Pooch. My mom bought a brush to use when she was keeping Sadie for me last month, and Sadie has no problem with it. It has metal pins with the rounded tips and a strap that goes over your hand, like a curry comb. I think it cost all of 12 dollars. The Les Pooch brush definitely did the job--it's a quality brush for sure, but struggling with Sadie was not worth it. So if anyone wants mine, I will send it to you for an extremely reasonable price. PM me.
