Duke has what looks like a litle cyst or tumor on his chin, we are going to the vet on Friday and I am praying its just a cyst and nothing major. I can't imagine what we will do if something is really wrong with him :( Has anyone's dood had something like this before?  Please keep our dood in your thoughts this week!

Can you post a picture of it?

He's so young, it's most likely something harmless.  They all get little things from time to time :)

Brady has had a bump on his chin since we got him but it grows one long hair out of it so i equated it to a mole and never even brought it up to the vet. He doesn't care if i touch it. Now i feel like a bad doodle mom! Good luck and let us know an update !
Son/law Derm dr. He has said hair coming out is a good thing..no worries
I freaked out when Fozzie was a year old and I found a lump on his bottom lip. My vet at that time gave him AB's for 10 days. There was no change in the lump and when I went back to the vet, they wanted to do a $2,500 surgery right away to remove it. I had a vet friend take a look at it and give his opinion, I'm so thankful I did. He felt there had been a tiny puncture and something in there causing the swelling. His suggestion was to let it go for another few weeks and we would check it again. It started slowly shrinking by three weeks so we let it go and it was gone by 8 weeks. Fozzie loved to chew on sticks and run with them in his mouth. I think he got a sliver of wood in his lip. I changed vets after that, preferring a cautious but thorough vet to one who wants to do major surgery right away.
You and Duke will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers that it turns out to be something simple!!

I had the usual freak-out a few weeks ago when I found a small lump on Declan's back, just to the right of his spine. Off to the vet to hear "Eh, it's just a sebaceous cyst. These guys are prone to those. Let's keep an eye on it and see whether it goes away on its own." Sure enough, it seems to be going away all by itself.

Will be thinking about you - keep us posted!

Good luck today! I'm sure it's nothing, just a funky bump. Let us know!
Any news on duke from your vet visit yesterday?
