My 9 month old Labradoodle Breezy has started to howl in response to me leaving or the phone in bedroom. My friends Labradoodle does too. Has anyone had this experience??? Also, I am new and must ask this, what does DH stand for??

My labradoodle is a howler.  We live 2 blocks from the fire station so sirens are routine around here.  We all howl along with him for fun.  Our puppy used to jump on him when he howled but now she has learned to join in.  We also have a goldendoodle who doesn't get it at all and just looks at everyone (doodles and people) like we are crazy.

In your case, it sounds like a anxiety response and not in the "fun" category.  I'd treat it as such and find ways for Breezy to deal with separation anxiety.
