Finally!  Going to get a discussion started with good (and safe) dog treats!

As a reminder, any treats made from a company listed in our Recommended Foods list will work, so I am not going to list them here. Visit this link for those brands:  http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...

Thank you for putting this together!

Yes, thanks Allyson.

Thank you Allyson!!

Thank you!

Here are some of Oliver's favorites--hopefully Karen approves! :)

Whole Life Freeze Dried Treats www.wholelifepet.com/whole_life_pet_products.php
Himalayan Dog Chews www.himalayandogchew.com/
Charki Puffs www.dydusa.com/charkipuffs/
Cloud Star www.cloudstar.com/prodcat/dog-treats.asp
Paragon Dental Chews www.paragondogchews.com/
Pepperdogz www.pepperdogz.com/treats-train.htm

Himalayan Chews have my full approval, but not are really what I would call "treats".

Cloudstar is a good company and can be added.

Paragon chews are great but I don't think they belong on a "treat" list.

I'll have to research the others.

THANK YOU!  This is very helpful.

What about Sojos peanut butter and honey treats?

Sojos is one of our Recommended Brands and is on the Recommended Food List, linked in the body of the discussion at the top. As Allyson mentioned, treats made by any of the companies whose foods we recommend are fine. She didn't list all of those companies here again, to save a little time and work, lol.

Yikes, sorry!! I should have thought to cross-check (and I look at the food list all the time so I really should have realized that - thanks for all your work on the food group btw - I've spread your wisdom to lots of other dog families as well)!

I'm afraid to ask what you think of the Greenies PB flavored pill pockets, but they are the only things I've found where I can get Maizey to take her glucosamine supplement. She thinks it's a treat. Thanks!!!

I used to use pill pockets all the time to give JD his meds, until he was diagnosed with IBD. Now I coat them with mashed sweet potato and just put them down his throat.

Thank you for the list!

Pure Bites are really easy to come by - They sell them at Petsmart and maybe even places like Wal Mart/Target.

I would be surprised if they sell them at WalMart, although W is famous for Chinese imitations of good products, so be careful.

I'd be surprised if they sell them at Target, too, but that's more likely than Walmart.
