So Quincy has twice come in COVERED in tiny green burrs that takes us a very long time to comb out!  Today we bribed him with an ice cream container with just a bit on the bottom to keep him occupied while we combed him out.  I can't find the source!  I suspect its the deeper woods up the hill.  Oh well, at least he gets a thorough combing and the DH helps!

I hate burrs. Bet he had fun getting them though!

They are so nasty! Have you tried tried spraying Quincy with something like Cowboy Magic or Show Sheen or OMG by Plush Puppy before going outside? When sprayed on wet and/or dry hair OMG leaves a substance that helps keep some debris from sticking so badly without attracting dust. I don't know if Cowboy Magic or Show Sheen will do the same. OMG, I'm told, is very similar to The Stuff.

I am picking off those tiny green burrs now and I have no clue where they come from.

Tis the season, we don't get burrs so much as these sticky little seeds that I've had to pick off for the last few days. Luckily they only get on his lower legs because the plant is really low growing. This is one of our worst cases from last summer. :>)

Those look a lot like the culprits. I wil do a close up of some I took off Luca yesterday.

Good close up of them F. !

Notice how they come away with doodle fur : ) I hate these damn things.

The doodle whose fur is removed with them, isn't a happy doodle either !

Right but it is usually not a big deal.

These look like something from the birds and bees lecture...:)

Ha, but those don't have those little burr like extensions.
