Meg finally killed her soccer ball the other day, totally deflated after more hours than I can count playing with it.  We always had to be the kicker and she is the goalie and quite good at it.  I decided to order a 10 inch Jolly Ball from Amazon.com and it came today so we have just been out in the yard.  Took her only a few minutes to figure out there is a reason for the handle to be there.  She wants to go after it but is still a bit selfish when she brings in back, she lets me get the handle but then wraps a foreleg around it and pulls it back to her as I go to take it.  She actually carried it back in the house with her.  Not sure how long this ball will last but I can see we will be getting plenty of wear out of it.  Thinking I might order a smaller one now for in the house.

They are supposed to last a long time.

My Ball is Bigger Than Your Ball

Is this the ball?   Ours is a year and a half old and it is still going really strong.  It has been outside for two winters even and it still has life.  This was the ball for the Horse, not the dog.  Strong Horse Ball!!

We also have a smaller Jolly Ball and we LOVE this one too. Great Balls.  Lots of fun and I know Meg will love the ball. I would not hesitate to get another.

My Ball Likes To Look Out Of The Window Too

Oh, I forgot. The red ball is not from Jolly Ball. It is really soft.  I don't remember the name. It is out floating in the backyard < geesh so much rain>.   I'll try and find it tomorrow

The handle on Meg's is different but yes, this is the ball.  Designed to keep horses busy.  She carries it by the handle and wants to play tug when she brings it back.  They are not inflated by air but made nice and thick so the bounce but don't deflate.

Oh I like this ! I'm checking out Amazon, I want to get one too !

Enjoy!

We had a small one for a while, she loved it and mangled the handle nicely - but after the puppy teeth were gone we got a bigger one and our dog has a blast with it.  I think it offers a form of assertive play that 'only's' don't get much of, and it's a hoot to watch  this dog try to round up a big bouncing ball.  At first I feared the size, but she has grown and seems to have no worries about getting in it's way, she clobbers it.

In the house? No way - ours like to shake her head back and forth and then let loose, see how far that thin can fly!?!

We have a huge Kong that has a handle and so far he has not been able to destroy it.  It's an outside toy for us!

Have fun Meg!
