OMG -- I've become one of 'THEM'

I can't believe it.  I've become obnoxious.  I'm a dog person.  I now carry treats in my pockets and sing the praises of my intelligent, accomplished, beautiful and well mannered....D O G.   I just returned from a two week cruise and I missed Zoe terribly and was amazed at how many times I talked about her. The truly awful thing is that I looked for souvenirs in all the countries I visited -- for Zoe.  I was looking for collars and leashes that were obviously 'foreign' so WE could boast about OUR world travels ...remember she is a D O G and the only place she went was puppy school while I was away.    I even acted like an ambassador and contributed toward world peace too by striking up sign-language conversations with other dog owners  I was amazed at the number of travel photos I now have of other people in other countries with their dogs.  I used to dislike people like me -- always talking about their pets :-)   They really do change your life, don't they?

Yup---me too!! Isn't it great?? My kids are actually grateful--now that they are adults, they are happy I have someone else to "hover over" besides them!!

It is very true, they get way down into a little place in your heart and cannot be dislodged. My kids are very used to being called "auntie and unka" and Lily Grace has both 2 legged and 4 legged cousins. All is well when your heart is full.

they really do. and i had told everyone when i signed onto Facebook, it was strictly to showcase my doodles. and the iPhone is great. i even had the butcher in Publix showing me his dog on his iPhone. and you meet a lot of people by sharing your photos.

Oddly enough, I just returned from Vail. Visiting friends & our pup was at "overnight camp"/ boot camp
The trainer sent updates & pixs every day...I couldn't wait to see them! ( Maybe its the Colorado thin air that does it) And of course share them.
She returns Monday and I am most anxious to have her back with us.
Any group of people I am with...eventually my DerbyDoodle gets a mention.

I even have Bentley photos on my iPhone and talk more about him than anything else.  Obnoxious, maybe but

he is the center of our lives.  Our golf cart is the Bentley mo bile, and at 9 and 4 he gets active play time followed by food.  Sleep, on our bed of course.  Gotta love them.  Bentley is the guy!

There is no doubt about it! My kids (who have their own families now) get pictures almost daily, my day is scheduled around two walks with Jewel, all three of us are going to puppy class with her and our family vacation will be a beach house that is pet friendly this year because I couldn't bear to think about being away from her twice (I go to resident scout camp with my grandson every year) and I am so excited about it :) I have loved photograph for years and always said someday...since Jewel has arrived there has been a fire under me to play around with the camera also. Thank you DK for being such a fun environment to share & learn!
