How often do you worm you dog If all is well with feeding and output. Would you worm yearly? What do you use?

Puppy coming up for a year and hasn't been wormed since he was first brought home.
Thanks for any advice

Never. Just take a stool sample in to vet's annually to check. Not big on treating for things when there's not a problem.

Agree completely. I have never wormed my dogs and I don't even get yearly decals if I can get away with it.

I have never "wormed" a dog ever. It is only necessary if they actually have worms or parasites. Most of the HW preventatives also protect against getting certain types of worms.

Excessive use of wormers has been linked to GI disease in dogs. :(

That all makes sense. I will go with a stool sample to his next check up in Dec. Forewarned is forearmed! I have a idea the vet will suggest worming as a preventive. I don't want his stomach issues given anything to upset them again. All is going so well at the moment :-)
Thanks all

If my vet suggested this I'd get a new vet.

Me too.
