Tragedy has struck one of our Members

Heather Woodland recently joined Doodle Kisses, but she and her beautiful doodle Cujo have been well known and loved for some time now on other doodle forums. Tonight Cujo was hit by a car and did not survive the accident. Please leave a note of condolence for her and her family. Leave your thoughts here and not on her profile page as that may fill her email up and she is not ready to talk to everyone at this time. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

He was gorgeous, patient, awesome with her kids and an important part of the family. Heather's youngest daughter and Cujo were best of friends.

I've been thinking about you and Heather and CUJO in HEAVEN all day since I heard I am so very sorry. There is nothing that anyone will be able to say to take the pain away. I lost Buster on Nov 3 2008 and didn't find this particular Pet Loss Site til just last week, unfotunately but it did help:www.petloss.com
There just so happens to be a round the world Monday night Rainbow Bridge Candle Light Ceremony every Monday night at 10pm Eastern Standard time 9pm 8pm 7pm depending on your time zone. I know that you probably are sure not interested in the ceremony this Monday night but know that at 10pm I, and probably many other members who know about this ceremony will be lighting 3 candles and saying special prayers for CUJO and Heather and yourself and the rest of your family. I will say a prayer for Buster and all the other pets who passed away and are ill and injured as well.

Dear Heather and family
How very sad to lose Cujo before his time. His gift to your family will outlive this Christmas and many to come. The love share among you is obvious and has left a strong foundation for happy memories and good relationship building for you and the children.
Thank you for sharing the photos. They are wonderful as photos as well as catching the personality and the central role Cujo has played in your family. I love him just from seeing him.
Cujo reminds me very much of Hairy, a chocolate version rather like Cujo, but probably not quite so big. My experience with Hairy who has followed in the footsteps of Frank, a large black Great Dane of 12 years when he died, is that a new puppy is a good idea. Continue the cycle. Don't expect the new baby to BE Cujo, but to share a lot of his best characteristics and bring charms of his own. Your children will soon love him as much.)

Heather, The slideshow of your Cujo was incredible. We have a goldendoodle named Molly that we love, but she is a spitfire and would not sit and do half the things that Cujo would do. Your dog is precious and so are your children. We will pray for your family during this holiday season and during this time of tremendous loss.
