Has anyone seen or tried these? Still looking for an acceptable flexible bent-pin slicker to replace les pooch.

I knew Manor Lake has a good reputation but I hadn't really looked at their website before until just now. What beautiful doodles.
The mat zapper isn't good. I love the brushes but this was a disappointment and I use an ordinary matt breaker which is cheap and does the job perfectly.
I am so bummed. I had forgotten that I ordered this until the packaged arrived today from Manor Lake. Then I got excited. Until I owned it up. There was a packing slip that they had charged me for what I ordered - a purple Les Pooch and a Mat Zapper. All that was in the box was a green Les Pooch and some kind of squeaky toy! :(
Also I keep calling the number on the packing slip and it is a wrong number.
How annoying! It sounds like you got another person's order, and you got the not so cool order! Have you tried calling Kim's direct number or email that's posted on the Manor Lake website? My interactions with her have been nothing but positive; I've called and emailed her numerous times regarding Oliver and she's always incredibly helpful.

Thanks Oliver & Elizabeth ... I did call that number and left a voicemail. Also I sent an email. Last night I got a message back from Megan. Seemed nice, although she also said sorry for the incorrect brush and that she was going to contact their distributor and get back to me as soon as possible. Actually it was one incorrect brush and one brush that was missing altogether - hopefully she caught that part. Also I'm not clear on why they have to contact the distributor. I thought they actually had a physical store and that is where I was ordering from. In any case we'll see what she says and I'll let you know.
On the bright side, it turns out the squeak toy was a complimentary gift that they include with every shipment. Lola loves it - much more than any brush!
That's weird, I'm sorry for recommending it! I thought that they did too, however as I live three hours away I've only seen their online store. I'm sure she'll get it all figured out, Kim's the vice president of the ALAA so I wouldn't think that she would like negative publicity.
Regardless, I'm glad Lola likes the squeaky toy--Oliver loves Zanies toys too! Zanies has one shaped like a jumping jack with a squeaker in each end and he goes crazy for it! :)
Please, absolutely no need to apologize. As I said, she was very nice in her email and I'm sure they will straighten it out. I didn't realize she was involved in ALAA, but that's good to know. Small world.
Just picked up Lola from the groomer, and we PASSED! She said I do an excellent job of keeping up with the mats, and she is fine with me waiting as long as I want to between visits - as long as I continue to keep Lola mat-free. Who-hoo!
Woo Hoo! Are you using the furminator? Sorry, I don't have time to get sucked into DK and start looking to see what slicker brush you went with! HAHA. I just made an appointment for my woolly Thunder and told my groomer that he is going to be so proud of me! Thunder is only an inch long, maybe, but it is like he has on a ski coat. Poor thing!
Anita - I have to run too, but quickly: Oliver and Elizabeth helped me track down a small purple Les Pooch. Much better than the green one. Also I use the Safari dematting comb, a good forced air dryer and finishing spray. I think this is a winning combination.
