New to the Group

[Rosemary (Ro) and Enzo]

Hi All and thanks for adding me to your group. My name is Rosemary, but my friends call me "Ro". We have just been blessed with Enzo, a GoldenDoodle puppy. She is currently 10 weeks old and it is safe to say she has stolen our hearts. For many years, I raised and bred Goldens. We lost our last senior Golden, Dylan, about a month ago. A huge piece of my heart was lost and I was devastated. Enzo wiggled her way to our lives and she has been the best Therapist one could ask for. My Dylan can never be replaced, but Enzo has helped to start the healing process.
We find she is incredibly "scary" smart and training is going very well. Even ringing a set of bells on my back door when she needs to go out!
Hope to share and learn all about these great "Doodle Dogs"!
I guess I can ask my first question...... I'm looking for a GoldenDoodle Christmas stocking. My google search brought me here to a discussion you all had last year about Pottery Barn having them. I see they are no longer available. Anyone find any other places that have

I am much more of a last minute, has to be snow on the ground or at least the AC has to be turned off for the season before I can think of Christmas.  Although we still have some of our lights over the roof.  We decided to leave them since my son will not be home to put them back up in time (He is in Florida doing an internship).  That's about as far ahead thinking as I get--benign neglect...MERRY CHRISTMAS  and welcome to DK ,Enzo.  I look forward to getting to know you and your family.

Hi Ro...Welcome to DK...I am new to it too...our story is so similar.  Our beloved Golden Retriever Jack passed away 6 months ago and I still have a huge hole in my heart.  I miss him more than words can say.  He was the best dog ever...perfect in every way and he was always by my side.  Just one week ago today we brought home a new puppy, an 8 week old Goldendoodle Puppy named Ellie and she has already in just a short week brought so much joy into our lives...we are totally smitten with her.  But not a day goes by that I don't think about or miss my sweet boy Jack.

Christmas is my absolute favourite(sorry for the spelling I'm Canadian and that's how we spell it!) time of the year.  I also looked at the Pottery Barn and was so disappointed that they didn't have the Doodle Christmas Stocking anymore.  I will continue my search and will let you know if I find anything.

So sorry about your Golden, Dylan but so thrilled for you that you have Enzo to help you start to heal.

Hi Lori: thank you so much for your response and friend request. Our stories certainly do sound similar! First, my condolences on your Boy Jack. Much like you, we were devastated. I still have crying jags, and the sight of a Golden brings back a rush of memories. Our little girl, Enzo, will never replace Dylan, she is just adding space to our hearts. She has been the perfect Therapist and distraction. Again, much like Ellie! Which, oh by the way, is freak' n adorable! :). Let the healing begin!
I too, am still looking for that Christmas stocking...please, let me know should you find anything, and I will do the same.

Welcome to Doodlekisses. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Dylan, but you are right. What a wonderful gift to have a bouncy wiggly puppy in your lives now.
