Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi Everyone,
Our puppy is just 9 weeks old. We are looking for healthy alternatives other than organic natural peanut butter to stuff in her KONG that won't upset a new puppy's tummy...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have used Kibble with some non-fat yogurt but his "go-too" is cream cheese. Quince generally has not had food problems-but we did just get through a bout of diarrhea. when that was happening, I gave him pureed pumpkin (not the pie filling kind-pure pumpkin) . I sometimes stuff a biscuit treat in there too for him to work at getting out. He sure loves his Kong and goes right into the crate when he sees me hold it up. Miss Ellie is just adorable, Michelle. Have fun!
Thanks for the advice Lori...much appreciated!
You can use pure meat baby food and freeze it.
Many people also just use their puppy's kibble.
Oh that's a fantastic idea Karen...I can pick out one of the healthy organic ones...she will love that...thanks so much!
Luna liked bananas in her Kong as a puppy :) I would seal up the small opening at the end with a small treat then put mashed bananas inside.
That's a great idea too...I am so excited to try these options now...thanks again!
We do plain yogurt mixed with pumpkin (the plain puree) and peanut butter, then freeze it. It lasts him much longer if we freeze it, probably a good 30 minutes.
Wow not only are my fellow Doodlers so nice & friendly...but creative too...thanks Camilla that is a wonderful suggestion:o)
Excellent idea...and thanks so much for the video!
I make different flavored ice cubes to stuff my dogs kong with such as what was suggested below. Plain yogurt mixed with pumpkin or blueberries, banana or whatever else I have available that is good for them. I put them in ziplock bags so they are ready to go.
