2014 Calendar Photo Editing Help

Hello! So, last year I did a discussion where members could post their photos for other members to help edit. I thought I'd do that again this year.

Anyone can offer an edit or request editing help, and the edits needed can be anything, from a color tweak to removing a poop bag from the background. :-)

The idea was that the photo would be posted, the edits would be posted, and if someone wanted to use the edit in the calendar they would e-mail whoever edited the photo the large file, so that the final edit would be of high quality.

I think this photo may be a good calendar option (but feedback on this is welcome).  It has plenty of pixels and could be cropped some and still easily meet the requirements.  Is there a way to lighten up the right eye without taking too much shadow from the rest of the photo?  I've tried isolating the area with the PE lasso, then creating a new layer and fiddling with light/darkness/hue/saturation sliders with laughable results. I will gladly follow a tutorial that you might recommend!

This is a great one DJ! It's interesting, shows his full body and he looks adorable. I also like the contrast of his coloring against the cool background. Here is my edit, I brought out the eyes and did some other tweaking. Of course it looks much different when you click on it (thanks to terrible DK compression)
