Maybe I'm too sensitive.....

Today I showed someone pictures of both Jace and Maggie, and typically the response I get when I show people is a positive and sweet response, today I got "wow, those are really ugly dogs" I almost cried, and then I got mad!! I honestly just looked at the person and said "what is wrong with you?!" my mind couldn't comprehend how someone could think that living teddy bears were ugly?! especially when one was a puppy. I dont know but I have had issues with it all day and I almost wanna confront them about it. I guess people dont understand what it's like when you love your dogs as much as you would a child. I feel like it's the equivalent of someone saying, "wow, your child is not very pretty"......Maybe I'm just being sensitive. :(

Not all people are as dog crazy as we all are...and think our furbabies are absolutely gorgeous...those aren't really people tho, they are aliens from the planet "CAT"  Yes, granted they are dressed like real people, talk like real people, but at home they actually "meow" and use a litter box!  :)

So, now I'm offended.  My cat is sitting right here watching the 12pt text hit the screen...... She loves those little dots too. She is pawing them or... does she want to scratch YOU?    :)

My best friend's husband thought doodles looked 'homely' -- LOL.  He is a wonderful guy in most respects, but he can't tell what a gorgeous dog is!  It didn't offend me really because he was talking about a group of dogs (not my dogs specifically) and it just made me see that people have different preferences/opinions about beauty.  Some might even think their own dog is ugly and not care or think it's bad.  There are some breeds I find...um...not-so-attractive. Of course I wouldn't tell anyone their dog was ugly!

I know it hurts, but most people don't think of YOUR dog as they think of their child.  But you think of them as your kids so it hurts your feelings.  Understandable...especially since it was probably a SHOCK that anyone could NOT think a doodle is adorable.  I was shocked when my friend called them 'homely' -- like REALLY?  It is POSSIBLE to not think they are teddy bears incarnate and thus adorable?  I am sure he had no idea he hurt you.

Besides, if we all liked the same thing, EVERYONE would have a Dood and then we wouldn't get to show ours off!  The psychologists that works in our building saw my dood so now HE has one!  And it is the cutest puppy!  Now the puppy gets the attention and not MY dood...so see, careful what we wish for...HA.

They do say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I'm thinking this beholder must have really ugly eyes. :>) I'm happy to say this type of person is rare and Quincy gets told on a regular basis how beautiful he is. What was said was just plain rude because we all know doodles are just the most beautiful dogs on earth. :>)

OK, there are dog folks.... me, and then there are cat folks.... me again, and the folks who love all animals.  (ME)

Then there are the stupid people. These people think all animals are useless, dirty, and just not worth giving any of their time, and attention to.

These stupid folks are missing out on something absolutely pure, and full of love to give. Their loss !

I have said it before and I'll say it again.... "Ya just can't fix stupid !"

 Love your babies, and don't waste your time thinking of their rude, and thoughtless remark !

I think doodles are so awesome looking but I know some people who just dont like a lot of fur (weirdos! ;) ) anyway, yours are precious and I'm glad you are a proud mama. :)
